This is a guide to enabling online payments in your STADIUM tournament or league entry form. Once enabled, players will be able to register and pay entry fees online.
Step 1: Enable payouts for your account
Go to your STADIUM account settings (stadiumcompete.com/account) and click on the “Payouts” tab.
When you click “Enable Payouts” you’ll be redirected to an online form to either connect an existing Stripe account or create a new one. If you want to use an existing Stripe account, make sure to use the email from that account in this form.
Once your Stripe account has been connected and fully verified, all Tournaments and Leagues created by your account will have online payments enabled by default.
Step 2: Configure payment options for a specific Tournament or League
Go to your STADIUM admin dashboard (stadiumcompete.com/admin) and click on the Tournament or League you’d like to configure.
Click on “Edit Tournament Settings” or “Edit League Settings.”
In the Settings dialog, you should see two payment-related settings:
- Online Payments
- Allow Unpaid Entries
If you do not see these settings, it’s probably because the Tournament or League owner hasn't connected a Stripe account for payment collection (see Step 1).
There are three configuration options:
- Turn Online Payments OFF Players will not be prompted to pay online even if they have an outstanding balance.
- Turn Online Payments ON Turn Allow Unpaid Entries ON Players will be given the option to pay online if they have an outstanding balance. However, they will still be able to submit their registration without paying online.
- Turn Online Payments ON Turn Allow Unpaid Entries FF Players will be prompted to pay online if they have an outstanding balance. They will NOT be able to submit their registration without paying the full balance.
Note: Cancellations and Refunds
All payments go directly to the Stripe account that is connected to the STADIUM account that owns the particular Tournament or League. If you want to issue refunds, you will need to do this directly from your Stripe account.
Automated refunds, custom cancellation policies, and more coming soon.
